Chris Krol, Partner

Chris originally joined Hale & Co (as it then was) in 1974 as a trainee and, after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, spent some time in one of the audit departments at Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC) in London and then worked for another firm in the area before returning to his roots in Maidenhead.  He became a partner of Hale & Co in the mid-1980s and became the firm's senior partner on 1 April 2008.

Chris has significant experience in property matters and manages property portfolios for clients.  He has considerable experience in IT matters.  He is involved in the management of the firm and is one of the three people in the firm authorised to undertake investment business.

Sean Egan, Partner

After university Sean joined Hale & Company as a trainee and qualified with the firm.  He then went to work in the corporate tax department of KPMG.  He returned to Hale & Company to become a partner.

Sean manages Hale & Company's private client department and advises on tax planning and general business issues.  He is a Chartered Tax Adviser as well as a Chartered Accountant.  He is also authorised to provide investment advice.

Sean has a keen interest in rugby and is Director of Finance at Maidenhead Rugby Football Club.

James Daniell, Director

James started his training at a firm of accountants on the south coast and transferred his training contract to Hale & Company, where he qualified in 1981.  He was a partner until recently and became a director on 1 September 2009.

James deals with a variety of clients from art dealers to property developers, helps to manage property portfolios for some clients and acts for charities.  He is the director with responsibility for training.

He has been a school governor and a keen supporter of Reading Football Club.

Daniel Cole, Partner

Daniel joined Hale & Company as a trainee after university and completed most of his training at the firm.  After a brief spell in industry, working for a significant logistics company, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant, he returned to practice at Hale & Company.

As well as his client list, which includes a variety of businesses from recruitment companies and electricians to solicitors, Daniel manages Hale & Company's growing outsourcing department, dealing with day-to-day bookkeeping requirements, preparing VAT returns and regular management accounts.  It also includes payroll processing.

Always keen on tennis, even playing at County level at one time, Daniel is now closely involved with Maidenhead Lawn Tennis Club.
