Chris Krol

Chris originally joined the firm in 1974 as a trainee and, after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, spent some time with Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC) in London and then working for another firm in the area before returning to his roots in Maidenhead.  He became a partner in the mid-1980s.

He is the firm's principal audit partner and is involved in the management of the firm.  He is one of the three people in the firm authorised to undertake investment business.

Chris has significant experience in property matters and manages property portfolios for clients.  He has considerable experience in IT matters.

Chris became the firm's senior partner on 1 April 2008.

   

Sean Egan

Sean manages the firm's private client department and advises on tax planning and general business issues.  He is a Chartered Tax Adviser as well as a Chartered Accountant.  He is also authorised to provide investment advice.

Sean has a keen interest in rugby and is Director of Finance at Maidenhead Rugby Football Club.

Sean qualified with Hale & Company and then went to work in the corporate tax department of KPMG.  He returned to Hale & Company to become a partner.

   

James Daniell

After a period with a firm of accounts on the south coast, James transferred his training contract to Hale & Company, where he qualified in 1981.  He has been a partner since 1988.

James is one of the audit partners and is the partner with responsibility for training.

James deals with a variety of clients from art dealers to property developers, helps to manage property portfolios for some clients and acts for charities.

He has been a school governor and a keen supporter of Reading Football Club.
   

Daniel Cole

Daniel joined the firm as a trainee after university and completed most of his training at Hale & Company.  After a spell in industry, working for a significant logistics company, he returned to practice at Hale & Company a qualified Chartered Accountant.

Always keen on tennis, even playing at County level at one time, Daniel is now involved with Maidenhead Lawn Tennis Club.

As well as his client list, which includes a variety of businesses from recruitment companies and electricians to solicitors, Daniel manages the firm's growing outsourcing department.  Outsourcing includes dealing with the bookkeeping requirements from raising and  processing sales and purchase invoices, handling cheque and BACS payments on behalf of clients, preparing VAT returns and regular management accounts, and generally replacing in-house accounting requirements with the added benefit of our support services.  It also includes payroll processing.
